SAMPLE LETTER TO BUYER – WRITTEN BY RHONDA DUFFY

Dear Buyer:

My wife and I would like for you to know about our home and why we are leaving the home that we love that we hold so many great memories in. We hope that your visit has been good to our home. We only hope that the buyers of our home will be as happy as we have been here.

We have purchased another home in a neighborhood that we have scouted for a while. Whereas we are sad to move, we are looking forward to moving and getting on with our lives. We need a bigger home with more space for our soon-to-be teenagers to “roam” and hang out with their friends.

All three of our children have grown up here from the time that they were little. We have had many birthday parties, sleepovers and family dinners here. The neighbors have all broken bread here and we even had a niece’s wedding in the backyard. We will certainly miss this home!

Our neighbors are super special people, all with smaller children and most of them have a great sense of humor! It is a very social neighborhood where you can always find someone at the pool after dinner during the summer and we have both adult and kid functions on a regular basis. The tennis team kicks butt and is full-on serious fun.

The bus stop stops down at the end of the street for both elementary and junior high. The high school bus stops in the cul-de-sac. Garbage day is Monday and the homeowner’s association oversees that everyone gets their cans in by Tuesday morning. But, if you have to go out of town, everyone in the neighborhood will help you by moving your cans inside. We really look out for each other!

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call us.

Best wishes on your search,

Tom and Julia Jones
