I Cannot Get The Repairs That I Agreed To Finished Before Closing
When you suspect that you can not finish the repairs, let the buyer or buyer’s agent know. You can covert to giving money in lieu of the repairs at anytime before closing if it is agreeable by the buyer by having all parties sign an Addendum. If you find that this is happening, notify them as soon as you can before the walk-through before closing.
You may also be able to get the attorney’s office to hold money in escrow until the repairs can be completed if a contractor is completing them.
Remember, that we always recommend that you offer money in lieu of repairs to avoid these kinds of problems.
